Computer Groups in Azure Log Analytics can easily be overlooked yet they are very useful.  Computer Groups are based off custom log searches or linked to Active Directory, SCCM or WSUS and based off groups in those systems.

Once created, use Computer Groups for searching in Log Analytics as well as for scoping solutions within the Log Analytics Workspace.  Outside of Log Analytics, groups are to scope performance insight in Azure Monitor as well as deploying updates in Azure Automation.

In this video I go over setting up Computer Groups in Azure Log Analytics based off custom searches as well as linking to Active Directory.  I also go over searching Log Analytics using the custom groups as well as scoping solutions.  I also walk through scoping performance insight in Azure Monitor and as a way to target update deployments in Azure Automation.
